Alba Botanica Hawaiian Hand & Body Lotion

First time when I saw this lotion among many others, I was definitely attracted to its tropical colors of gold, deep yellows, tangerine and greens. The tube of 7 oz, 198 g can easily be held comfortably in a hand. It is easy to open and the lotion comes out easily. As soon as you look at the tube, you can notice the claims that it has No Parabens (preservatives), Phthalates (plasticizers) and most importantly the company does not carry any animal testing, so even the strict vegans can use it without feeling any guilt of any harm done to any animals. It has 100% vegetarian ingredients!

Once you smell the lotion, you should be warned that it has a strong scent and it would hit you hard with a burst of Cocoa Butter! Smell may not be so pleasant for some but the texture of the lotion is rich, creamy, glides on the skin and vanishes immediately! Even though the lotion is thick, it does not feel greasy and it does not take time to absorb. The good news is that even though this lotion carries strong smell, after absorbing into the skin, the scent is barely there!

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Hand and Body lotion has some exciting ingredients worth mentioning: Vitamin E, Jojoba, Macadamia, Sunflower and Flax oils! Even though it has plenty of emollient oils to nourish the skin, it would still not be enough to apply as an only lotion in the months of winter when the skin can be flaky and overly dry. It would be best to have it combined with a heavier, thicker and more moisturizing lotion or cream. It should be pointed out that this lotion would not be very beneficial for those who have fine lines, wrinkles and crepey skin as this is quite unforgiving in hiding the signs of aging. If you have crepey skin, go for a lotion or cream which carries alpha or beta hydroxy acids, such as Salicylic acid, Lactic acid or Glycolic acid. These ingredients are excellent in lubricating and plumping the skin, helping in reducing that crepey appearance. This lotion is ideal for someone with normal to dry skin.
